Know Your WHY

Last weekend at the University of Nottingham, I spoke at a national conference to over 100 youths on disovering and fulilling their purpose, with a challenge to become intentional about their lives. Intentionality starts with understanding your purpose.

Imagine a world where everyone knew their God-intended purpose and pursued the same with a great passion. Only people of purpose make impact in the world. Unfortunately, many lives are wasted for lack of intention and focus.

Whats-Your-Why

Why Purpose Matters

God created us for His glory (Isaiah 43:7). This is our overearching creative purpose. But individually, we have specific assignments to fulfil on earth. Both compliiment each other.

Purpose makes your life tangible and inspires you to live with focus. Without it, you will be distracted and all over the place. Life is too short to lose track of your destiny.

Life is a vapour and you will not be here forever.

yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes — James 4:14.

Every candle always burns out — let your life count for something awesome while your candle is lit.

Know your “WHY”

People who are content with mediocrity hardly take time to understand the goal of their lives. What’s the goal of your life?  Why are you here? What’s your “WHY”?

Those who go on to achieve true greatness understand their purpose. If you don’t understand the reason for your presence on earth, you cannot fulfill God’s demand on your life. And to truly fulfil purpose, you must embrace, in a personal way, the GOD who created you (Jeremiah 1:5). We derive our purpose from God.

You cannot fulfil a purpose you don’t know. You must be intentional about your life. You must know what you’re living for.

When you die, are you confident you’ve done everything God created you for?

Question: What’s your WHY?
