Live Your Life With a Sense of Urgency
During a routine stop at my local grocery last week, I overheard a discourse between two staff members expressing shock at how quickly Easter is upon us and the year passing so quickly.
It felt like yesterday when we exchanged new year pleasantries, set new goals and were pumped for 2022.

True, time is no respecter of persons. Every tick of the clock is time that can never be regained. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.
Faith apart from works is useless
You may be familiar with James 2:20 — “But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?”
But I love how the ESV version captures the verse: “Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless?“
Yes we can dream, but a dream without a clear set of actions will soon become a delusion.
It's useless to aspire for greatness and success without committing to the pursuit of the same, and embracing the sacrifice that comes with it. You cannot cheat the process // Live Your Life With a Sense of Urgency Click To TweetGoals are meant to be achieved. Visions are meant to be pursued. Purpose is meant to be lived out.
Don’t fall into the routine of writing down goals every January and not taking tangible actions to pursue and realise them. It’s not enough to believe; act on it.
Live with a sense of urgency
Life requires we live with a sense of urgency.
Our time on earth is limited. Our opportunities in life are limited. Time doesn’t wait for anyone. And in view of eternity, we must live with a sense of urgency.
God may give a second chance but some opportunities may never come twice. Life is too short to waste it.
Easter is upon us and soon we will be saying ‘Merry Christmas’… and again you’d wonder where time went.
Don’t be lethargic about your purpose. Quit procrastinating your vision.
When you become intentional, many others far and near, are helped and inspired by your obedience and courage.
So get up and keep moving; you cannot afford to waste your life.
Here’s wishing you a lovely Easter weekend. And remember, Jesus died so that we may live. Accept, believe and embrace Him today.
