TheLifeCourse: An Amazing Experience
Tonight was nothing short of amazing. I have hosted sessions of TheLifeCourse across England but hosting my ‘home’ youth group was always a dream. And tonight, that dream became a reality.
We had about 40 youths turn up to take part in the highly interactive, seeker-friendly, group-based and open discussion session aimed at helping individuals and groups discover the God-intended life. The focus of the night was to explore The World As It Is… the key challenges and struggles of living in today’s world.
Taking on the hot issues of race, social prejudice and interlaced with personal experiences, the room soon heated up with exchanges of perspectives and world views. It was an intense evening; intense but fulfilling. It’s difficult to get much out of young people but TheLifeCourse environment creates such openness that gives them the ability to open up. And they did tonight… and continued the debate after the session officially ended. I loved it!!!
Next week, we will conclude with how we take the journey from challenges to solutions and how each young person can be part of that journey. The youths are excited and expectant, so is TheLifeCourse team. It’s a massive task; we covet your prayers. I can’t wait!
