The Outer Court Will Not Do

When God gives you a signed, blank cheque and says “WRITE WHAT YOU WILL”, what would you write? You’d fancy your chance penning down a great request, innit? But that’s the problem!!! Yes God does give us blank cheques but our asking is what lets us down badly. Our asking reveal the true nature of our hearts. Our requests reveal our depravity.

Christians with blank cheques are content with seeking a house, car, financial freedom and breakthroughs. Nothing wrong with those. But seriously that’s the problem. We have stayed too long in the outer court that we simply have no clue what the holy of holies experience is all about. We have dwelt long enough in the outer court that we cannot conceive what the heartbeat of God for us truly is. Outer court Christian experience will stifle your spiritual progress. Christ has torn the veil, yet we have not come in to the place of divine grace. And HE’s pleading, “WHAT ARE YOU DOING OUTSIDE??? COME IN”

I feel a sense God is always asking “Is that all you can ask for? There is more to ME than money, financial breakthroughs and a good marriage! Is that all you desire? Is that truly how precious I AM to you? Where is your hunger for deeper sanctification, higher consecration, preservation from this perverse generation, spiritual experiences, growth in grace…”
I’m often hit by God with the reality that there are times I lose focus on what’s most important to HIM. But so thankful He never leaves me there…

The outer court experience leaves you open to false teaching, prosperity-preaching exploitation, deception and much more. But when you move into the holy place, there’s a deep connection with God. Israel as a nation was content with outer court experiences; they saw the works and miracles of God. But Moses… that man sought more as recorded in Exodus 33:12-19: SHOW ME YOUR GLORY was his desire. No man ever experienced God’s glory from the outer court; it will take further steps forward and a closer look to see what’s behind the veil. And God says to you tonight “COME!!!”

But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.

  2. Haha Debbie, yes… studied, worked and lived in the UK for 8 years before moving to Germany this year… and it’s still home for me as well 🙂 Thanks for your curiousity, God bless you.

There have been many tell tale signs of the UK in your posts. Alas, I just learned from your website that you indeed have spent time in the UK. 🙂

I enjoy learning about you and how God has manifested Himself through you. Blessed!
