So Run To Win!
Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! (1 Corinthians 9:24 NLT)
I love the way the New Living Translation of the Bible concludes this verse: “So run to win!”
Isn’t that the sole purpose of those that engage in a race? The Christian life is no different – we run for one purpose: WIN!
Christ has laid the foundation for our victory in this race but we must take care how we run, that we do so lawfully. Lawfully meaning to run within the standard of the One who marks the race (GOD!). Our fleshly standard will not do, neither will our corruptible interpretation of His spiritual and incorruptible standards. That’s why we need His grace!!!
As you get up this morning and continue your race of life, remember that a prize awaits you. This whole sacrifice is not in vain. Remember what the Bible said of Christ? “For the joy set before Him, He endured the Cross…” Hebrews 12:2
Let’s be encouraged and strengthened, knowing that we have an incorruptible crown of glory waiting for us. Let’s run with courage. Let’s run with a full assurance of hope and faith. Let’s run with joy.
C’mon, let’s run to win!
Grace and peace to you.
