Rediscover Your Praise
Our world is replete with many reasons to be discouraged and negative. You don’t have to look far to find one. Discouragement has become the norm for many… even born-again Christians often find themselves in the well of discouragement.
But God has given us the antidote for dealing with life’s challenges; praise! A praiseful and worshipful life brings glory to God and moves Him to defend your cause. The Psalmist reminded us: “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord” Psalm 150:6.
If you don’t build the habit of praise, worship, gratitude and thanksgiving, you are as good as dead.
Be grateful for all you have. Be thankful for all you do not have. Be expectant for what you will have.
When we fail to live a life of praise and worship, things can go wrong. Paul told the Thessalonians to give thanks to God in everything for this is God’s will (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
The consequence of a life without praise is dangerous. See 1 Thessalonians 5:19.
There is power in praise; put aside the confession and life of negativity. Learn to praise to God, in time of abundance and adversity. Learn to rejoice. Learn to give Him the glory for great things He has done and greater things He will do.
When next life tries to make you forget God’s mercies and lean towards discouragement, then preach to your soul like the Psalmist:
“Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s. (Psalm 103:1-5)
It is time to rediscover your life of praise; go for it.
Praise the Lord!
