Divine Partnership, Not Resolutions

Over the course of 2016, I reflected a lot on the journey of my life. What a journey! I feel most gratitude to God for changing the course of my life, forgiving my sins and calling me to serve Him.

What are you grateful for in 2016?

I feel privileged to be gifted with both immesurable blessings. The Psalmist captures my thoughts perfectly:

He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill; That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people — Psalm 113:7.

What are you grateful for in 2016? What are your expectations for 2017? What do you need to make right in your life?

May I challenge you? Don’t depend on ‘New Year Resolutions’ to see the change you want to see in your life. Instead, lean on God’s grace and act on purpose.

Divine partnership, not resolutions

New Year resolutions are weak. They put the focus on your feeble abilities, instead of God. In our own strength, we cannot bring about the deep and transformative change we desparately need. But Philippians 4:13 says:

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

I challenge you to come into divine partnership with the One who can give you strength to live a truly successful and fulfiling life. He already promised:

…My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest — Exodus 33:14.

Put resolutions aside and seek God’s purpose for your life in 2017. Let God speak a word into your life. Resolutions cannot hold you on the day of adversity, but God’s Word is our sure help in times of trouble.

You can do with some help

Don’t you want some help in 2017? Aren’t you tired of trying to fix your life your own way, which never works? Won’t it make a difference for another to bear your burdens?

Let the Architect of the Universe lead you through the path you’ve never been.

Let the One that formed the earth show you the way.

Let the Commander of the host of heaven fight the battles of 2017 on your behalf.

Let the King of Glory rule over the affairs of your life.

Let the One, in whose hands rest the pillars of the world, shape the foundation of your life.

I challenge you; quit trying in your own power; release the burden to your Burden Bearer. And as you do, He will give you a clear vision for 2017 (and the rest of your life).

This is to AWESOME in 2017!
