One Year of Awesomeness
This is Isabel-Juda: for unto God she is vowed and to God she has been promised. And out of her lips has praise been ordained.
Sometimes, words just won’t do
Remember those words, the evening I announced her birth? If you need a refresher, click here. (Can you believe it’s 12 months already?)
Our daughter, Isabel-Juda turns one this week and this post is about her. I pray she sees it someday and it puts a smile on her face and gratitude in her heart.
I thought hard about what to write and how to structure this post. I couldn’t find the words. So I decided pictures will do the talking. Sometimes, words are simply not enough.
Sometimes, pictures speak better words than letters
The joy of getting married is on one level but seeing the fruit of that union emerge in your care is pretty much on a different level. It blows you away. The late nights, the short sleeps, the chaos (yes chaos) represent stages of a journey. I’m in awe!
I welcome you to take a look at what’s truly been growth in one year of awesomeness:

Day 3 – About to leave hospital

Isabel Juda – Week One at home

Month 2 – It became apparent she’d rather nap during the day than sleep at night

Month 3 – She could already do that for the camera

Month 4 – One of my personal favorite pictures of her

Month 5 – First singing session

Month 7 – Filtering her menu options on a family holiday

Month 9 – She made her intentions known: taking over at the top.

Month 11 – What can I say? That’s how she celebrated my birthday.

Month 12 – Wonder why she was excited? Scroll down…

She got her new wheels, and then she did this… (see video below)
Happy birthday to you, our angel.
What awesomeness are you celebrating today, this week or this month? Let me know so we celebrate together.
