Loose Those Appointed To Death…

“Let this be recorded for a generation to come, so that a people yet to be created may praise the Lord: that he looked down from his holy height; from heaven the Lord looked at the earth, to hear the groans of the prisoners, to set free those who were doomed to die, that they may declare in Zion the name of the Lord, and in Jerusalem his praise, when peoples gather together, and kingdoms, to worship the Lord.”
(Psalm 102:18-22 ESV)

Mark the words in bold: to set free those who were doomed to die. The King James Version puts it better… “to loose those that are appointed to death”

As I led prayer session last night with God’s people, I felt a strong connection with these words… setting loose those appointed to death. The devil is a bad devil and he has only one purpose: steal, kill and destroy. And while this festive season is a time of celebration, it’s equally a time known for many spiritual atrocities in the dark world. So Christian, be on your guard. We are not ignorant people.

But here’s where I’m going; be prayerful, stay in tune with the Spirit of God at all times, especially in this festive period. Many are being appointed to death by the devil on a daily basis. Terrible things happen in our world but here’s our consolation; the Lord always keeps His own.
Pray for your family all over the world, that God keeps them. Pray that God will set free anyone that may be appointed to death, so that they live; spiritually and physically. Pray for protection and preservation. Pray for wisdom to discern the wiles of the devil. Pray for power to live a holy life. PRAY!

And now I pray that God keeps you and all that is yours, and set every spiritual prisoner free and deliver any appointed to death in Jesus name.
Amen.
