Keep Looking Up + Podcast feat. Isabel

7 weeks ago, I started Purpose Guy Podcast and ever since, my 8-year old daughter has been my biggest fan. She gets very excited when a new episode drops and can’t wait to listen and ‘step‘ to the soundtrack.

Then came the prodding for weeks to allow her join me and record an episode. I wasn’t sure, so I delayed for a while until this past weekend.

She was very specific about her request though — “I want to read one of your poems!”

And so she did. To hear her, click here to listen on Anchor, Spotify or anywhere you get your podcast.

Hope in the storm

For many, the season of deep uncertainty, worry and anxiety continue to persist. There is so much anxiety in the world today and many people are facing significant challenges.

Whether it’s concerns about the pandemic or jobs hanging in the balance, relationships on the verge of breakdown, families struggling with their financial situations — many are in the middle of a storm.

I know what it feels like being out of work during the pandemic. I can relate with the pressure of trying to balance work with parenting and ‘home-schooling’ in lockdown. I’ve been there and yes, it sucks.

But beyond the storm is the One with us in the midst of it all — Jesus. You cannot navigate life successfully without a solid anchor for your soul. Christ is my anchor and hope in every storm of life.

I invite you to make Him yours and you will find true meaning and purpose in life. Want to know more? Ask me how.

Keep looking up

If you’re struggling, I want to encourage you to resist the temptation to give up.

When you trust God with your life and commit to His Lordship, He takes it upon Himself to sustain you in your times of need. Learn to trust Him each day in very practical ways. He’s always faithful.

God truly makes all things beautiful in His time — Ecclesiastes 3:11. Sometimes, He does His deepest work in us away from public view.

When it seems God isn’t showing up, keep trusting Him. Wait on Him, because He’s working out your miracle.

Keep looking up.
