3 Action Words For Awesome Living

From Joseph: This is a guest post by Jared Latigo. Find more about Jared at the end of this post. If you want to guest post for me, click here for my guidelines.

Years ago when I was just becoming a teenager, I had an experience that changed the course of my life to where I am today.

It wasn’t my doing. It wasn’t my parents doing. And at the time, I thought God hated me. I was almost certain of it actually.

Boy was I ever wrong!

The Past

I won’t go into details, but I had some medical problems and went from being highly active in sports to not able to play them at all.

And when something you love and hold so dear to your heart gets taken away, you question things. At least I did.

I mean, here I was, 12 years old and I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my life. I knew how it would play out and my plan was bulletproof.

Right?

The Purpose

Now that I understand more clearly, though not perfectly, the path that was laid out before me, I can start to understand my purpose in life.

In fact, I believe that not only do we all have a purpose, but that it’s our duty to live it out to the fullest.

We have been given a gift. Ignoring it becomes a disgrace. You can tweet that

Some of you may have gone through things such as losing a child, losing a limb, having cancer, etc. For these things, there are no human words that help. None.

But there is a purpose for you still being here. I truly believe that God did not put anyone on this planet for absolutely no purpose. How much sense would that make? All the time that goes into knitting us in the womb and laying out our life plan all without a purpose?

I doubt it!

The Takeaway

You were put here to do something awesome. I have no idea what, I have no idea how. But regardless of the obstacles we’ve all faced, there is light at the end.

In 3 action words: Live It Out!

What actions are you currently taking to live out your God-intended purpose in life?

  1.  “Now that I understand more clearly, though not perfectly” I have also found this to be true, we might not perfectly understand but it gets clearer as we continue to live out our purpose in life.

Thanks Jared for this post. I am connecting with people who are already living in purpose or in the pursuit of purpose and that helps a lot.

    1. So true, we see and know more as we do and live more.
