How To Deal With Life: PRAISE

Our world is replete with many reasons to be discouraged and negative. You don’t have to look far to find one. Negativity has become the norm for our depraved world… We struggle to find reasons to hope, to believe and to rejoice.

But God has given us many antidotes for dealing with life’s challenges, one of which is PRAISE!
A praiseful and worshipful life brings glory to God and moves Him to defend your cause. The Psalmist reminds us:
“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord” Psalm 150:6.

If you don’t build the lifestyle and attitude of praise, worship, gratitude and thanksgiving, you will not cope well with life. And trust me when I say there’s a lot to be thankful for; count your blessings and name them one by one. We don’t thank enough because we focus too much on the needs of tomorrow, rather than the victories of yesterday and opportunities of today.

Be grateful for all you have. Be thankful for all you do not have. Be expectant for all you need.
Paul told the Thessalonians to give thanks to God in everything for this is God’s will.
(1 Thessalonians 5:18)

There is power in praise; put aside the confession of negativity. Learn to praise God, both in times of abundance and adversity. Learn to rejoice. Learn to give Him the glory for great things He has done and greater things He will do.

When next life tries to make you forget God’s mercies and lean towards discouragement, preach to your soul like the Psalmist did:

“Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
(Psalm 103:1-5)

Praise the Lord!
