GRACE to Stand

“Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared…”
(1 Timothy 4:1, 2 ESV)

“But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.”
(2 Timothy 3:1-5 ESV)

You know, we live in dangerous times. I get very worried when we exalt our experiences, a Pastor’s words or a friend’s narrative above God’s word. There’s a lot to be said about that but let me zero in on a different subject: GRACE.
That’s one virtue we need from God in these dangerous days. Seriously, the enemy of our soul is not joking and we must wake up, be watchful and prayerful.

Those that stand in the end are not those who are self-willed, determined in their ability to be firm or have the self discipline of ‘Dos and Don’ts’ but rather those who are kept by the grace of God. Paul said “I am what I am by the grace of God”, yet Paul rightly acknowledged that he did not treat that grace in vain.
We must ensure we don’t take God’s grace in vain. The same grace that called us into faith is the same grace that can and will keep us in this dark age we live in. O how we need God’s grace, for many are slain by Satan everyday. I urge us; let’s look upwards and God-ward as we receive the grace that God supplies.

The Spirit of God speaks expressly, I pray we listen intently and not miss out or be deceived. I commend us to God’s upholding and abiding grace. By God, we will stand till the very end, for those that do will be saved (preserved) in the end.

In the meantime, join me as we pray that God opens the eyes of the blind, unstop the ears of the deaf and cause great deliverance for every captive of the mighty.

Many blessings for the excellent week ahead!
