Counting Your Blessings Everyday

In the next 24 hours, social media timelines and mobile phones will be awash with messages of prophetic prayers and well wishes. Why? A new year is about to dawn on us, depending on the part of the world you’re in. In fact, by the time you are reading this post, the “Happy New Year” fireworks could already have set off.

Everyday

Churches will be full of worshippers who, traditionally, are eager to enter into the new year in God’s presence. How do I know it’s tradition for some? Here’s how:

Some churches soon dry up in the first quarter of the year and you hardly see many of the ‘holy-hand-lifting, grateful hearts’ until Easter Sunday, Christmas service or another 31st December thanksgiving service.

In a few hours, many will embrace the need for gratitude, contrition and personal reflection. What follows will be a 4-point strategy for 2016 and resolutions for success.

The only problem is we don’t treat each day with the same importance, same passion, same reverence, same gratitude and same hope. The turn of a new year is a lot to be grateful for. But so is everyday.

So here’s my challenge to you as we enter into 2016:

Life is precious but short. So count your blessings everyday because everyday matters.

I pray your experience God’s peace and blessings in the new year. Be ever so awesome in 2016!

Question: What are you grateful for in 2015?

P.S. I’d like to specially thank you, my readers, for your constant readership and support. You are awesome!
