Despair or Hope?

Despair or hope?

You can choose to believe the ugly. Or you can choose to believe the good (and pursue it).

You can decide you’ve had enough. Or you can get up and have another go at your dreams.

You can create an atmosphere of hopelessness around you. Or you can create the change you desperately need.

You can believe it’s impossible. Or you can dwell in possibilities.

You can watch others achieve it. Or you can make it happen (for you). Tweet

You can cry yourself to sleep. Or you can pray and act.

You can do it the same way that has always failed. Or you don’t.

You can remain stale. Or you can live again. Tweet this!

Despair or hope: the outcome lies in the choices you make today.

What would you choose?

  1. Hope — it’s odd that we talk about it so much but yet don’t apply it. “the outcome lies in the choices you make today” Only a choice away right? I choose hope, I choose to create change and dwell on endless possibilities. I am recharged, thanks Joseph for the very well written post!

    1. Jep, thanks for echoing the choice for hope with me. Our action will affirm our choice. Glad you’re with me on this one.

  2. Great post! The whole concept of choice has been at the forefront of my mind for the past few weeks. It is up to us to choose the good, the positive, etc. No one else can do it for us.

    1. Absolutely true, Denise. We make the choices. Thanks for sharing here.

  3. I find that hope should never get lost. The words you’ve chosen are awesome and definitely perfect opposites. Never lose hope. That’s where all our drive comes from.

    1. “Never lose hope” – thanks for re-echoing those words back to me 🙂

  4. Needed this reminder today. 🙂 Thanks for sharing this.

    1. Thanks Ngina for stopping by. Loved your post today!
