I’ll Be Back…
I’m taking a break from the blogosphere and social media this week to attend a 4-day international youth conference I help create annually. I will be back on the blog next week.
If you’re on Facebook or Twitter, you can follow me for updates of what God will be doing with us at the conference in Cologne.

Our collective responsibility
If you’re a regular reader of the blog, you’d know I make no secret of my passion for young people. I believe we have a responsibility and duty to influence the younger generation positively – not only for their sake but ours.
A key part of this conference will focus on how we empower youths into personal and church leadership. The church has no future if we do not give youngsters a platform to learn biblical principles, live out those principles and show others how it’s done.
Sometimes, we make the mistake of stopping at ‘teaching’ (or bombarding) without giving them the platform to express their leadership. Could they make mistakes along the way? Sure! Didn’t we all?
The road that leads to growth and success is not without stones and rocks. Tweetable?
Why this excites me
With well over hundred youths expected from France, Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands, the conference presents the church a strategic opportunity to shape and speak into the lives of our youngsters.
That’s why this conference, themed ARISE & SOAR 2013, excites me. I can’t wait to learn and engage with new youngsters.
How you can pray for us
If you can spare 5 minutes, consider praying for us in the following ways:
- That God be glorified throughout the conference.
- For genuine salvation for all unsaved youths and complete life transformation (2 Corinthians 5:17-20)
- For journey mercies to everyone traveling across cities and countries.
- For visible impact of God’s grace on every young person.
- That we have fun! Yes, lots of fun! With film shows, a visit to a chocolate museum, city tour, music competition, group presentations, study and business tips planned (along with spiritual teachings and seminars), there’s room for lots of fun.
I’m looking forward to the conference and I also covet your prayers for me personally. Until next week, I wish you awesome days ahead.
What are you doing this week to serve your purpose and inspire others to live theirs? Let me know how I can pray for you too.
